The Problem:
The existing icon library served the company well for over 10 years but the style had become outdated, lacked versatility, and was too complex. There was also a need for Brown and Caldwell to differentiate from their competition who were using icons in an similar style.
The Solution:
Brown and Caldwell's Icons presented a unique design challenge of creating icons that represent complex engineering terms and processes. The solution was to create a design system that simplified the icons but also gave them a unique look and feel that Brown and Caldwell can call their own. This design system not only created consistency and delight across the icon library but it also helped shape other design assets across Brown and Caldwell's branding.
